Chef Steve Lloyd

Steve Lloyd has an instinctive understanding of how most of us like to eat. Combining simple and fresh food with the casual, relaxed, outdoors Australian lifestyle, Steve's cooking philosophy is to keep it simple and to cook with naturally produced ingredients just as Mother Nature intended.

This easygoing approach to food evolved while working at Season in Noosa and as Head Chef at the iconic Spirit House, where he worked only with the best local and seasonal ingredients and treated them simply. Here, he was also able to explore and incorporate more contemporary Asian influences into his food. 

Today, Stephen takes the time to personally meet farmers and manufacturers, and visit orchards, vineyards, paddocks and fish farms to truly see where his food originates from.

In his spare time Stephen enjoys surfing, surfing and more surfing (!) and playing with this two children, Oscar and Sibella.
