About Chef for Kids

Like many businesses, Chef for Kids started from a moment of unexpected inspiration. Founder, Steve Lloyd was disappointed in the quality of meals at his children’s daycare. Being a parent and a chef himself, Steve knew what good and nutritious food young children should be eating, so he took on the challenge to set things right.

The childcare director invited him to create a sample menu, and the rest is history.

About Steve

Steve has many years’ experience working as an executive chef in London, Sydney and on the Sunshine Coast. His career first began in the 90s, where he trained as a chef through the Trust House Forte hotels. He spent years working under award-winning chefs in British culinary cuisine competitions, eventually becoming an award-winning head chef himself at Pier 26 in Sydney.

After a well-established career, Steve settled in Noosa with his family and two young children.

Steve pours his extensive experience, knowledge and love for making delicious, healthy meals into Chef for Kids.

“We've been so impressed with the quality and variety of the food that Steve provides. As a dad, he understands how important it is to fuel their active little bodies, and there's always plenty to fill them up. The cost fits well within our budget, and my staff save time because the meals are individual portioned for kids size hands and ready to go, which means the carers have more time to spend with the kids!"

The Food

Chef for Kids creates delicious meals that kids love and parents can trust.

Steve and team prepare and cook each meal for your child in a council approved commercial-grade kitchen, and delivers meals daily in temperature monitored containers, saving you the time and effort for only $4 per child, per day.

We know how tricky it can be to get your child to eat food that is good for them, which is why our goal is to create food for kids that is not only packed with super foods, but bursting with flavour as well, for morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea.

Using local produce where possible, Chef for Kids offers a varied menu with protein, low sugar, low salt, no added preservatives and limiting any processed foods.
