
Like many businesses, Chef for Kids started from a moment of unexpected inspiration. Founder, Steve Lloyd was disappointed in the quality of meals at his children’s daycare. Being a parent and a chef himself, Steve knew what good and nutritious food young children should be eating, so he took on the challenge to set things right.
The childcare director invited him to create a sample menu, and the rest is history.

Our head chef has over 20 years of experience catering for both children and adults, with a strong focus on real, whole foods. He is an expert in dietary requirements and has honed his skills in some of Australia’s top five-star kitchens, ensuring every meal is both nourishing and full of flavour.
We also have an experienced nutritionist with over 25 years in the industry, ensuring that every ingredient we use meets the highest standards of quality, nutrition, and taste. Our meals aren’t just good for kids—they’re delicious, wholesome, and made with love.
